I found a small error or a confusing item in the t-test menu. Under the output, jamovi displays the alternative hypothesis. Logically, because you do nothing about the alternative hypothesis, displaying the alternative hypothesis is a bit confusing. I assume a lot of student users may not understand the issues with NHST yet. If the developer wanted to show what the alternative hypothesis was, I understand.
Now the error part. When you test a directional hypothesis, the alternative hypothesis note in jamovi provides wrong information. For example, when I chose "Group 1 > Group 2" in "Hypothesis" menu, the note says "Ha mu1 > m2." Again, this may be caused by the developer's perspective. Does "Hypothesis" in the analysis menu mean the alternative hypothesis? If so, then the note makes sense. Still, I would say that this is confusing because it does not reflect the logic of NHST. May I suggest either the note is fixed for directional hypothesis or the "Hypothesis" in the menu is switched to "Alternative Hypothesis"?

Re: A small error or confusion in t-test
Hi,
The hypothesis is, as you say, the alternative hypothesis.
I appreciate this does not match the logic of NHST where one defines the null hypothesis first.
