Any idea when 2.7 will transition to 'Solid'

Hi Team,

I'm a big fan of the addition of the Plots tab in V2.7 and am thinking about getting my students using it in the upcoming Semester 1 (in Australia), but would be a bit nervous about them using the current version due to potential bugs/instability.

Any ideas when you plan to transition 2.7 to being the solid download?

hi ellie,

i don't think we'll make 2.7 solid for a little while (we introduced some fairly substantial features recently, plot resizing, etc.) and so we're still waiting to see if there's any subtle bugs that emerge with that.

having said that, i would be very comfortable using 2.7 in the classroom ... if there's features you want to use in the 2.7, then i wouldn't hesitate to use it. the sorts of bugs that have occurred over the 2.7 lifecycle have been pretty subtle, and wouldn't impact students.
