Windows users cannot save

Hi team

Very appreciative for jamovi and your work.

One of my students is having trouble saving their jamovi work: either as an

omv

file, or as an export.

They are using Windows, and the latest desktop, solid version (which would be 2.7.39).

They also tell me they are not trying to save to a cloud drive. Indeed, they cannot even select 'Browse' to select a location. This is their screenshot:

They say it never stops waiting, and they cannot press 'Browse'.

I don't know anymore. But thanks for any insight.

at a guess, this is a corrupt appdata entry. i can look into improving our handling of this.

your student can shut down jamovi, press `windows-key + R`, and then run `%AppData%` ... then delete the jamovi folder inside there.

restart jamovi and hopefully it works.

if that's not it, then we'll have to try something else.
