Cannot open files from my own laptop

I downloaded jamovi successfully on my chromebook, but for some reason I cannot open files off of my laptop. I don't know how to attach an image on here but I noticed that I have a "Special Import" option which I haven't seen anyone else have. When I browse my files all I see is random files that are not related to the files on my laptop. Also, I have no problem uploading the example data provided by jamovi.

use the "files" program on your chromebook ... and you'll find there's a folder called 'linux' or something like that. you'll need to copy the files into their for jamovi to 'see' them.
