Dear colleagues,
Hopefully, you will be able to help me. I tried to use a decision tree procedure withing snowCluster block, but received very confusing results. The first node is invariably dichotomised at negative values, although there are no negative values in my dataset at all. I have tried to perform this procedure with the Iris dataset, and again there were negative values at the first node (see figure attched). Could you please advise me what might have been a matter and what is the solution? Thank you in advance.

Re: Confusing results with decision tree
Hi
That's because I've standardized the variables. However, I found that it is not necessary to standardize data in decision tree analysis in literature review., so I will update it in the next version.
Best Regards
Seol

Hi Seol,
Thank you for your explanation. Now I will be looking very much forward to getting and update version of this module.
With kindest regards,

Re: Confusing results with decision tree
Dear Jamovi researchers,
Thank you for your work.
I have two questions.
1. I can install snowCluster - Multivariate Analysis 7.1.7 (not 7.3.3): is it ok?
2. Using the Decision Tree, I see I have 204 entries, but in the confusion matrix, I always see 30 + 30 = max 60.
I never see a total of 120 entries.
I hope you can help me find the error.
Cristina

Hi cri_0123
Please update the latest version of snowCluster module shown below.
I'm not sure I understand your second question. Can you explain a little more?
Best Regards
Seol

Re: Confusing results with decision tree
Dear Seol,
I use the (updated) Jamovi version 2.3.28.
How can I update the snow cluster? Jamovi shows me only snowCluster - Multivariate Analysis 7.1.7 (not 7.3.3) -see picture below.
Regarding my question on the decision tree, I made a screenshot: I have 207 subjects, but the confusion matrix shows 30 + 30 = 60 data.
It seems to me there is a problem.
I hope it is more clear
thank you
Cristina

Re: Confusing results with decision tree
Hi Cristina
First, you shoud install the latest version of jamovi(ver.2.5.6) and then try to update snowCluster module in jamovi library.
Second, Try to run data analysis again to see what happen. If your analysis shows strange results, please attach the .omv file here.
Best Regards
