Bayesian RM ANOVA issue

Post by saywhatnow »

Hi all

I have previously (on version 2.6) been able to run Bayesian RM ANOVA with two covariates, inclusive of all two-way and three-way interactions. I've updated jamovi recently to version 2.7.37.0 and updated modules (including jsq). Now when I try to add any two-way or three-way interactions, I get the error "invalid 'type' (list) of argument" and the model does not run. The error appeared at the introduction of the first two-way interaction so the main effects work fine. The RM variable has two levels.

I have:
- confirmed the variables are stored as continuous, integer variables
- tried the model excluding missing cases in the covariates with use of a filter - no change
- confirmed that the frequentist RM ANCOVA runs successfully with two-way and three-way interactions

Does anyone have any advice, or knowledge of a bug in the jsq module that handles the Bayesian RM ANOVA, specifically when it comes to handling interactions with covariates and any suggestions for how to overcome this?

Thanks in advance for your help!
